I have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome since secondary school, I was bullied and called things because of my aggressive facial hair growth that couldn’t be controlled. I took to hair laser reduction sessions as my family was fortunate enough to afford it (close to £1000 just for the bottom half of my face and about 8 sessions spanning about a month apart if I remember correctly.)
Lemme tell you it was the best thing I ever received as a teenager with already low confidence and self-esteem. After the sessions were over it took a good few years for the hair to start regrowth but it’s a lot thinner now. The laser feels like an elastic band whips against your skin every half a second and you actually can smell the incineration. Sunscreen and aloe gel are your best friends for the healing and protection process.
This treatment does NOT get rid of hair FOREVER. It WILL grow back, this is a common mistake people believe. Unless you damage your skin from extreme burns that obliterate the areas of growth your hair will always grow back. It’s not a removal, it’s a reduction.
